Appetizer

If you could take lessons to learn any musical instrument, which would you want to learn?

I’m still totally enthralled with improving my flute playing. After all, the Delta Winds’ performance at Carnegie Hall is coming up on March 28, 2007! If you’re going to be in New York City, come see us that evening! I will be in the front row on your right as you view the stage, fifth seat in. Come say hello after the concert!

My next instrument is going to be an alto flute. I love the deep, rich, melodious tones of the alto flute.

Have you ever mistaken a person for someone else?

Yup. Most recently in December. I was walking to my allergist’s office and I thought I saw a friend from church . . . it was a woman who could be her double. Fortunately, I just said, “Hi” in a very upbeat “oh-how-nice-to-see-you” way. She sort of looked at me as if to say “Do I know you?” while she mumbled an unenthusiastic “hello” in return. I realized she wasn’t my friend, so I was very happy I hadn’t said, “Hi, ________.” This way, I was able to just smile and keep walking. She’s probably still trying to figure out who the strange woman that talked to her was.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets?

10+++

I’m a lawyer. Lawyers keep secrets. It’s in our job description. We can’t tell.
Ever.

Which leaves people wondering what we know.
That’s one of the fun parts of the job.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t know.
That’s one of the drawbacks of the job.

What’s the closest you’ve ever been to a dangerous animal?

I once petted a tiger at Marine World in Vallejo.

When was the last time you lost your patience?

I guess that would have to be a few weeks ago when I decided that, for the sake of my own health and sanity, I had to extricate myself from a toxic congregation and leave organized religion behind. I now worship at the “Church of Sleeping Late on Sunday Morning” — and love every minute of it.

I enjoyed your feast! WOW! I would love to go to NY and enjoy a performance at Carnegie Hall! I’m hoping my daughter continues with her violin and one day play in an Orchestra.
I was reading your posts below, Runaway Jury is one of my favorite Legal movies, and I enjoy reading J. Evanovich’s series. They are hilarious, and I just can’t put them down.
    Happy Friday!
