Alipet813 hosts Show Me 5 Saturday at That’s a Novel Idea. Each week, readers answer five questions, providing the number of answers that correspond to the number of the question. For instance, four answers are required in response to question number four. The questions are:

The sisters’ relationships and interactions seemed authentic and realistic.

There were unexpected plot twists.

The supporting characters were as varied and intriguing as the main characters.

A couple of minor plot points felt slightly contrived in order to move the story along, requiring me to suspend my disbelief.

5. My rating: In honor of the fact that the story is set in Nantucket and seashells play their own part in the story, I am awarding Beachcombers four and one-half seashells!
