Writing My Life

Friday, January 1, 2010

Today I launched my new site, Writing My Life! Each Sunday I will post a writing prompt and encourage participants to either answer the question(s) posed in a comment, or publish a post on their own site in response to the prompt. Permalinks to individual posts can be included in a comment and each week I will publish a list of all posts published.

If you are a writer who has made a New Year’s resolution to resume writing again after a hiatus, write more than in 2010, or write about new and varied topics, Writing My Life might provide the inspiration you are seeking! Check it out!

Great idea for the new site — sometimes it can be so hard to come up with ideas to write about. For all those stumped, it will surely help.

That sounds like a fun blog! It’s interesting when there is some consensus on what to post about in the blogosphere and a bunch of different blogs write about a similar topic.

I don’t know how I ended up here because I was actually searching for a website about losing weight. Anyway, I’m glad I did end up here because your post has moved the writer in me to get myself into gear. I have an unfinnished series that I would love to complete. I have one finished book written about a dark and tragic time in my life that would probably be too disturbing for people to read.

I also have an idea to put together all of my funny stories from things that just happen in my family. This one from 1986 still cracks me up! When my daughter was three and a half years old and her little brother was eighteen months old, they were playing quietly outside in the sunshine. Suddenly, I heard my son let out a blood curdling scream. He came running to the door in tears and I was horrified to see two rows of very deep tooth marks burning angrily in his forehead. I turned to my daughter but before I could tell her off she quickly said, “He did it himself.” I couldn’t tell her off because I couldn’t keep a straight face. Thankfully, that was the last time she bit anyone.

Well, that’s my two cents worth. Thanks for inspiring me to use my writing abilities again.

I used to outsource all my writings, but now I am back to write my own original content. It seems like a better way to network and build links by writing my own stuff.
