I totally agree with BigBob! Whether or not people of the same sex get married do not affect members of the general public, in any way at all. Who’s to say they’re wrong and others are right? No one has the right to judge.

I am totally pro same sex marriage. Why do people have to hate on it so much! If two people are in love they should be able to get married, who cares if they are a guy and guy or a girl and a girl!

I totally agree that there is no reason to legislate against same sex marriages as this really does not impact anyone but the couple involved. If it seems strange to some people, well there is a lot of ‘strange’ in this world, get over it.

By not allowing same sex marriages the state puts a curb on the natural progression of a relationship which can cause a lot of unhappiness for the people concerned.

I am no societal norm-addict, so same sex marriage is no issue for me. Who knows? Two people of the same sex might have more love for each other than the others. I think it's great! I know many same-sex couples that have been together for many decades and they should have all the same advantages as opposite-sex married couples. For me it boils down to these issues: 1) Inheriting property smoothly from your spouse 2) Not being locked out of your spouse's hospital room because of your gender 3) Child-support issues, tax filing and community property issues, it should all be the same no matter if it's a boy/girl, boy/boy, girl/girl couple or whatever! Some people say that gay couples are after "special privileges" but that's a crock. It's just the same responsibilities, burdens, rights, advantages as any other seriously committed (AKA married) couple has. So, that's my two cents. Aloha!!!
