Thoughtless, no doubt. Premeditated, probably not. We have become a nation divided as is evidenced by media in all shapes. Instead of focusing on our samenesses, we learn early to focus on the differences. Insanity is expecting to keep doing.... and we do.

Truly intimidating and discriminating. Racism is indeed evident. These people are bad with humor.

racism certainly leaves a lasting scar on anyone who has been a party to it. such comments r uncalled for. ut then, what should have passed off as just a humor, turned ugly.its really unfortunate.

We've come so far (not) since the Fuzzy spectacle some years ago also involving racially discriminating language in Tiger's direction. Much like that whole clip, it's the insensitivity to the issue that most confounds me. The words, symbols, are one thing purely irritating, but more than that for me is the tone. When Fuzzy went off on "fried chicken" and the like although the words themselves were emotionally charging, it was the very last part of that statement that still reverberates in my head ...."or whatever the Hell they eat..." We have a very long ways to go still! Great blog Janie. My first visit and I had to subscribe via email. Peace..........T

Tilghman's lame attempt to tell a joke. And look where it got her. Bad joke indeed.

It's understandable why they didn't expect any outcry. After all, it's mainly middle aged white guys that play golf.

This is outrageous, Janie. Most disturbing is the speed with which the words fell out of the sportscaster's mouth. People with empty heads are the first to resort to name-calling and bigotry. Sad. Thanks for posting this.
