Appetizer

Name 2 things you would like to accomplish in 2008.

I plan to reach my ideal weight before December 31, 2008, and intensify and maximize my flute rehearsal and study time.

Soup

With which cartoon character do you share personality traits?

Lucy.

Salad

What time of day (or night) were you born?

If I recall correctly, it was somewhere around 1:30 p.m. on a Friday.

Main Course

Tell us something special about your hometown.

Lodi produces more Zinfandel grapes than the Napa Valley region which is why it is known as the “Zinfandel Capital of the World.” It is also home to approximately 60 wineries, many of which are developing international reputations for producing extremely high quality wines. Increasingly, Lodi is becoming a weekend and holiday destination for discerning wine-tasters and collectors.

Dessert

If you could receive a letter from anyone in the world, who would you want to get one from?

There was one special person in my life with whom, from my perspective, things were left unsaid and unfinished. I would feel better if I knew that person received the information that I never imparted. I will never have the opportunity to do so, however. But I would love to receive a letter from that individual because that would, ideally, provide me with a chance to respond.

This is a wonderful feast. I can totally relate to your Dessert! Once upon a time there was a cowboy I was very much in love with. He left without ever saying goodbye. But that was then and this is now, and I am thankful now. It was very painful for many years, but if he had stayed I would not be the woman I am now … and I would not change this for anything.Alice’s last blog post..Quote of the Day

Geez, you are a miracle ! you remember your birth ! I don’t, I didn’t have a watch either, lol !

Gattina:

I remember my mother telling me about the day I was born . . . but she is not here to ask whether my recollection is entirely accurate and I am too lazy to go looking for my birth certificate! :-)

Hootin' Anni December 28, 2007 at 5:26 am

LOL … Lucy of Peanuts has “Crabby GENES” you know? I remember a comic strip we cut out and Lucy was telling C B about crabby genes and heredity. It was funny…

Happy Friday.

JHSEsq December 28, 2007 at 11:35 am

Anni: I forgot about the “Crabby Genes.” :-)

I couldn’t think of a cartoon character . . . finally, I decided on Lucy because she gives out a lot of advice, as do I. Of course, I charge more. :-)

I’ve always been fascinated by Lucy because she is often misunderstood and unappreciated. She gets very zealous and enthusiastic, but is really good-hearted. I think Charles Schulz was trying to make a point with her character. For one thing, Charlie Brown seemed to be one of the few people who *got* her.

My sister lives in Lodi. It’s about 45 minutes away from me. Small world, isn’t it?

Hope your dessert comes true even if you don’t think it ever well. Have a great FF and weekend. :)

Comedy Plus: You’re in Modesto, right? When I was in law school, I worked as a Certified Law Clerk for Jim Struck there. He’s a really good attorney & he and his wife, Carolyn, are lovely people. I learned a lot from him.
